Teaching English Abroad

Living and working abroad, as opposed to just travelling, can be a very rewarding and fulfilling experience. Just being a native or near-native speaker of English is a skill that can take you teaching all over the world. However, this does not mean you will be a successful teacher!

Many places in the world now require a Cambridge CELTA or the Trinity College Cert TESOL qualifications (a 4 or 5 week full-time course). These courses cost around £1,000 but will enable you to teach almost anywhere. Our two-day course, however, will give you the opportunity to see if TEFL is for you in a cost-effective way. Or, you may already be an English teacher working in the state school system outside the UK and want to learn EFL techniques and skills.

There are still places in the world, notably Asia, the Middle East and South America, where more emphasis is placed by schools on people having a degree rather than on having a TEFL qualification, so our course aims to give you confidence to go out and teach.
